Method 1: Manually Turn the Window Handle
Some cars have a small access hole in the door panel that allows you to manually turn the window handle. If your car has this feature, you can:
1. Remove the door panel to access the window handle.
2. Locate the window handle and turn it to close the window.
Method 2: Use a Coat Hanger
If your car does not have a manual access hole, you can use a coat hanger or similar thin wire to close the window:
1. Straighten out a coat hanger.
2. Make a small hook at one end of the coat hanger.
3. Remove the door panel to access the window mechanism.
4. Use the hook to grab the window regulator rod or window crank and pull the window up.
5. Reattach the door panel once the window is closed.
Method 3: Disconnect the Battery
Another way to close a power window is to disconnect the battery:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Wait a few minutes.
3. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
4. Try to operate the power window.
If none of these methods work, you may need to take your car to a mechanic to have the power window repaired.
