Instructions
1. Park the car on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Raise the front of the car with a jack and secure the car on the jack stands. Refer to your car's owner's manual for the proper lift point.
3. Remove the front wheels.
4. Remove the skid plate under the engine.
5. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
6. Remove the starter motor.
7. Remove the transmission mount.
8. Remove the catalytic converter.
9. Remove the drive shafts.
10. Remove the transmission bell housing bolts and remove the transmission from the engine.
11. Inspect the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel for wear or damage and replace as needed.
12. Install the new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel.
13. Install the transmission to the engine and connect the transmission bell housing bolts.
14. Install the drive shafts.
15. Install the catalytic converter.
16. Install the transmission mount and starter motor.
17. Connect the battery cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
18. Install the skid plate.
19. Install the front wheels.
20. Lower the car from the jack stands and remove the jack.
Tips
* When removing the transmission, be sure to support it with a transmission jack or a similar tool.
* Be careful not to damage the transmission bell housing when removing the bolts.
* Apply a thin coat of grease to the splines of the input shaft before installing the transmission.
* Tighten the transmission bell housing bolts to the proper torque as specified in the workshop manual.
* Start the car and let it run for a few minutes to check for leaks.
* Test drive the car and make sure the clutch is working properly.
