1. Remove the Door Trim
- Open the rear door.
- Use a plastic trim tool to pry off the plastic cover of the door handle.
- Remove the two screws behind the door handle cover.
- Use the trim tool to pry off the plastic trim around the window switch panel.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors for the window switch and door lock.
- Remove the three screws that hold the door trim in place.
- Carefully lift the door trim up and off the door.
2. Remove the Damaged Window Regulator
- Locate the window regulator assembly inside the door.
- Disconnect the electrical connector for the window regulator.
- Remove the three bolts that hold the window regulator in place.
- Remove the damaged window regulator from the door.
3. Install the New Window Regulator
- Position the new window regulator in place in the door.
- Insert and tighten the three bolts that hold the window regulator in place.
- Connect the electrical connector for the window regulator.
4. Test the Window Regulator
- Close the rear door.
- Use the window switch to raise and lower the window.
- Make sure the window moves smoothly and does not make any unusual noises.
5. Reinstall the Door Trim
- Carefully lift the door trim up and into place on the door.
- Insert and tighten the three screws that hold the door trim in place.
- Reinstall the plastic trim around the window switch panel.
- Connect the electrical connectors for the window switch and door lock.
- Replace the two screws behind the door handle cover.
- Snap the plastic cover back onto the door handle.
Your Vauxhall Meriva rear electric window should now be repaired and working properly.
