1. Prepare the shifter box. Remove the old shifter and any associated hardware. Clean the shifter box and inspect it for any damage. If there are any cracks or holes, they will need to be repaired before proceeding.
2. Install the shifter bracket. The shifter bracket mounts to the shifter box and provides a mounting point for the shifter. Position the bracket over the shifter box and secure it in place using the provided bolts.
3. Install the shifter. The shifter mounts to the shifter bracket and provides the means to shift gears. Position the shifter over the bracket and secure it in place using the provided bolts.
4. Connect the shifter linkage. The shifter linkage connects the shifter to the transmission. Position the linkage over the shifter and connect it to the transmission using the provided bolts.
5. Adjust the shifter. Once the shifter is installed, it will need to be adjusted so that it is in the correct position. This can be done by adjusting the linkage length and the shifter position on the bracket.
6. Test the shifter. Once the shifter is adjusted, test it to make sure that it is shifting properly. Shift through all of the gears and make sure that the shifter is not binding or catching on anything.
