Instructions:
1. Safety First. Park your car on a level surface and apply the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down. Engage the parking brake to keep the car from rolling.
2. Raise the Car. Use the jack and jack stands to raise the rear of the car until the tire comes completely off the ground. Place the jack stands under the car's frame, just behind the front wheels.
3. Remove the Wheel and Mudflap. Use the lug wrench to loosen and remove the lug nuts that hold the wheel in place. Then pull the tire straight back off of the wheel studs and set it aside. Then, remove the two screws holding the mudflap in place and pull it off.
4. Disconnect the Electrical Connector. Locate the electrical connector for the brake light and press the release tab to disconnect it.
5. Remove the Old Bulb. Press the release tab on the brake light bulb socket and turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
6. Install the New Bulb. Insert the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise to secure it.
7. Reconnect the Electrical Connector. Reconnect the electrical connector to the brake light.
8. Reinstall the Mudflap. Reinstall the mudflap and secure it with the two screws.
9. Lower the Car. Use the jack to slowly lower the rear of the car until the tire is back on the ground. Remove the jack stands and replace the lug nuts. Tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern with the lug wrench.
10. Test the Brake Light. Turn on the ignition and press the brake pedal to make sure the brake light is working properly.
11. Reinstall the Wheel Cover or Hubcap (optional). If your car has a wheel cover or hubcap, reinstall it.
