Instructions:
1. Prepare the Door:
- Open the door and roll down the window as far as it will go.
- Clean the window frame and track of any debris and dirt using glass cleaner.
2. Remove Inner Door Trim:
- Use a trim removal tool or a flat head screwdriver to pry up and remove the door panel clips.
- Remove the door panel carefully. It might be helpful to start from the bottom and work your way up.
3. Remove the Window Crank Handle:
- Using a screwdriver, remove the screws holding the window crank handle in place.
- Take out the handle.
4. Detach the Window from the Regulator:
- Locate the window regulator. It is usually a metal or a plastic frame that moves the window up and down.
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the window to the regulator.
- Carefully pry the old window up and out of the frame.
5. Remove Glass Sealant:
- Use a putty knife or utility knife to remove any old glass sealant from the frame.
6. Install New Glass Sealant:
- Apply glass sealant or weatherstripping to the frame where the new window will sit.
7. Install the New Window:
- Carefully slide the new window into place, aligning it with the guide tracks.
- Secure it to the regulator with the screws that were removed earlier.
8. Reattach the Window Crank Handle:
- Reinstall the window crank handle and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
9. Test the Window:
- Test the window by rolling it up and down to ensure smooth operation.
10. Reinstall Door Trim:
- Reinstall the door panel by clipping it back into place.
11. Clean the Window:
- Use glass cleaner to clean both sides of the window to ensure a clear and unobstructed view.
