Gather the necessary tools and parts. You will need:
A new tailgate
A Phillips head screwdriver
A flat head screwdriver
A socket wrench set
A pry bar
A hammer
1. Open the tailgate and remove the screws that hold the taillights in place.
2. Use the flat head screwdriver to pry the taillights out of their sockets.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the taillights.
4. Remove the screws that hold the tailgate handle in place.
5. Use the pry bar to pry the tailgate handle out of its socket.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector for the tailgate handle.
7. Remove the screws that hold the tailgate hinges in place.
8. Use the hammer to knock the tailgate hinges out of their sockets.
9. Lift the old tailgate off of the vehicle.
10. Position the new tailgate on the vehicle and insert the tailgate hinges into their sockets.
11. Secure the tailgate hinges with the screws.
12. Connect the electrical connector for the tailgate handle.
13. Insert the tailgate handle into its socket and secure it with the screws.
14. Connect the electrical connectors for the taillights.
15. Insert the taillights into their sockets and secure them with the screws.
Your Peugeot 307 SW tailgate should now be replaced.
