1.Park the car in a level area,engage the parking brake,and turn off the engine.
2.Locate the gearshift knob.It's situated at the center of the center console.
3.Lift up the gearshift knob cover.There may be a small button or lever that you need to press or pull to release the cover.
4,Now you should see the gear knob sitting on a metal rod/shaft.It may be held in place by a small screw or clip.Remove them if any.
5.Grab the gearshift knob firmly and pull it straight up to remove it from the gearstick.
6.You can now insert the new gearshift knob by aligning it with the gearstick and pushing it down until it is firmly seated.
7.Replace the gear knob cover if there was one.
8.Try moving the gearstick through all the gears to ensure that the new gearshift knob is secure and functions properly.
