1. Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the reverse light assembly on the rear of the vehicle. It is usually the red light on the outer edge of the taillight assembly.
3. Remove the cover or lens of the reverse light assembly by gently prying it out with a flat-head screwdriver or a trim removal tool.
4. Once the cover is removed, you will see the reverse light bulb. It is usually a small, single-filament bulb.
5. To remove the bulb, turn it counterclockwise until it comes loose. Be careful not to drop the bulb.
6. Insert the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
7. Replace the cover or lens of the reverse light assembly.
8. Turn on the engine and test the reverse light to make sure it is working properly.
