1. Locate the seat release lever. It is located on the right side of the bike, just below the passenger seat.
2. Pull the seat release lever up and then lift the seat up and off the tank.
3. Disconnect the battery negative cable. This is located under the seat on the right side of the bike.
4. Remove the two bolts that hold the seat in place. They are located under the battery.
5. Lift the seat up and off the bike.
