2. Remove the cotter pin and washer from the pulley shaft. The cotter pin is located at the end of the shaft and the washer is located behind it.
3. Loosen the pulley nut. The pulley nut is located on the front of the pulley. Use a wrench to loosen the nut until it is completely removed.
4. Remove the thrust washer from the pulley shaft. The thrust washer is located behind the pulley nut.
5. Slide the pulley off the shaft. The pulley should slide off easily once the nut and washer have been removed.
6. Inspect the pulley and shaft for damage. If either the pulley or the shaft is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
7. Reinstall the pulley in the reverse order of removal. Be sure to tighten the pulley nut securely and insert a new cotter pin to prevent it from coming loose.
8. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
