How do you bleed 1998 Honda foreman 450es front brakes?

1. Remove the front wheel.

2. Remove the brake caliper from the fork leg by removing the two bolts that hold it in place.

3. Slide the brake pads out of the caliper.

4. Inspect the brake pads for wear and replace them if necessary.

5. Clean the caliper and brake pads with brake cleaner.

6. Reassemble the caliper and brake pads.

7. Install the caliper on the fork leg and secure it with the bolts.

8. Reinstall front wheel.

9. Fill the brake fluid reservoir with new DOT 3 brake fluid.

10. Pump the brake lever several times until the fluid level stops dropping.

11. Hold the brake lever in the fully depressed position and crack open the bleeder screw on the caliper.

12. Allow the fluid to drain out until it is free of air bubbles.

13. Close the bleeder screw and release the brake lever.

14. Repeat steps 11-13 until the fluid is free of air bubbles.

15. Top off the brake fluid reservoir and check the brake fluid level regularly.

NOTE: Be sure to use DOT 3 brake fluid only, as DOT 5 brake fluid can damage your seals and cause your brakes to fail.
