1. Park the bike outside and turn off the engine.
>Allow the bike to sit and cool down for about 10 minutes.
2. Locate the transmission fluid sight plug on the left side of the motorcycle, just below the transmission housing.
>The sight plug is typically a small, hex-head screw.
3. Clean the sight plug and the surrounding area with a clean cloth to prevent dirt from entering the transmission.
4. Loosen the sight plug and remove it by turning it counterclockwise with a hex key or an appropriate tool.
5. Allow the transmission fluid to drip into a clean container until it stops flowing.
6. Inspect the transmission fluid. It should be a clear, reddish color with no visible sediment or metal shavings. If the fluid is dark brown, cloudy, or contains sediment, it should be changed.
7. Reinsert the sight plug and tighten it securely to prevent leaks.
NOTE: If the transmission fluid level is low, add the recommended type of fluid through the transmission fill port on the right side of the motorcycle. The fill port is typically a large, hex-head screw located near the top of the transmission housing. Add fluid until it begins to drip from the sight plug, then reinsert the sight plug and tighten it securely.
