- A chain adjustment tool
- A 10mm wrench
- A 12mm wrench
- A pair of pliers
1. Park the bike on a flat surface and put it in neutral.
2. Turn the chain adjuster nuts counterclockwise until there is no play.
3. Ensure that the chain does not touch the swingarm.
4. Tighten the chain adjuster nuts clockwise until an adequate amount. If the chain adjustment tool can still fit between the chain and swingarm, you will need to tighten the nuts a bit more.
5. Reinstall the nuts and tighten them securely with the 10mm wrench and the 12mm wrench.
6. Use a pair of pliers to bend the locking tab down over the nuts to prevent them from coming loose.
7. Spin the chain several times and ensure it moves freely.
