1. Prepare your workspace by gathering the necessary tools and parts, including a new cam chain tensioner gasket, oil pan gasket, oil filter, oil, and coolant.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical accidents.
3. Drain the oil from the oil pan by removing the drain plug.
4. Remove the oil filter using an oil filter wrench.
5. Drain the coolant from the radiator by opening the drain petcock.
6. Remove the upper radiator hose and thermostat housing.
7. Remove the valve cover by removing the bolts that hold it in place.
8. Remove the cam chain tensioner by removing the bolts that hold it in place.
9. Replace the old cam chain tensioner gasket with the new gasket.
10. Reinstall the cam chain tensioner and the valve cover using the bolts that you removed.
11. Refill the coolant system with coolant and bleed the system if necessary.
12. Refill the oil system with new oil and start the engine.
13. Check for leaks and ensure that the oil level is correct.
14. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
