- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- T25 Torx bit
- T30 Torx bit
Instructions:
1. Remove the door handle bezel. There is a small, round hole in the center of the door handle. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the hole and pry it off. The door handle bezel is then secured by three Phillips head screws. Remove the screws and set them aside.
2. Remove the inner door panel. There are two T25 Torx bolts located at the bottom of the door, one near the front and one near the rear. Remove these bolts and set them aside. There is also a T30 Torx bolt located in the middle of the door, just below the lock button. Remove this bolt and set it aside. Now, insert a flat head screwdriver into the bottom of the inner door panel and pry it upward to release the clips holding it in place. Grasp the door panel and pull it towards you to remove it.
3. Remove the tweeter cover. If your car has a tweeter, there is a small, round cover over it. Pry the cover off with your fingers and set it aside.
4. Unplug the window switches and other electrical components. There are several electrical connectors behind the door panel. Unplug these connectors by pressing down on the release tabs and pulling them apart.
5. Remove the speakers. There are two speakers in the door panel, one at the top and one at the bottom. To remove the top speaker, lift the door panel upward and remove the two T15 Torx screws holding it in place. Then, lift the speaker out of the panel. To remove the bottom speaker, unbolt it from the door panel using a 10mm socket.
6. Reinstall the door panel. To reinstall the door panel, simply follow the instructions above in reverse order.
Tips:
- If you are having difficulty removing the inner door panel, you may need to use a pry bar to help you release the clips holding it in place.
- Be careful not to damage the door panel or any of the electrical components when you are removing it.
