2. Locate the retaining screws for the rear view mirror. These screws are usually located on the bottom or sides of the mirror housing.
3. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the retaining screws. Be careful not to drop the screws.
4. Remove the old mirror. Gently pull the mirror housing straight back until it comes off of the windshield.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector. There may be a small tab that needs to be pressed to release the connector.
6. Install the new mirror. Align the mirror housing with the windshield and push it back into place.
7. Reattach the electrical connector. Make sure that the connector is securely fastened.
8. Replace the retaining screws. Tighten the screws until they are snug.
Additional Tips:
* If the mirror is stuck to the windshield, you can use a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the adhesive.
* Be careful not to touch the reflective surface of the new mirror.
* If the new mirror is not properly aligned, you can adjust it by turning the adjusting knob on the bottom of the mirror housing.
