1. Park your car on a flat surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels to prevent the car from rolling.
3. Locate the bonnet release cable. It is a metal cable that runs from the bonnet to the front of the car. On the Fiat Brava ELX, it is usually located on the passenger side of the car, near the front wheel well.
4. Follow the bonnet release cable to the lever or handle that it is attached to. This lever or handle is usually located behind the front bumper of the car.
5. Pull the bonnet release lever or handle to release the bonnet.
6. Lift the bonnet and prop it open with the support rod.
7. Once the bonnet is open, you can repair or replace the broken bonnet latch.
Here are some additional tips:
- If you cannot find the bonnet release lever or handle, you may need to remove the front bumper to access it.
- If the bonnet release lever or handle is broken, you may need to use a pair of pliers to pull the bonnet release cable.
- Be careful when working underneath the car, and make sure that the car is securely chocked to prevent it from rolling.
