1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the trunk of your CLK.
3. Locate the plastic license plate light housing on the inside of the trunk lid.
4. Use a flat-head screwdriver or pry tool to gently pry open the plastic housing.
5. Remove the old light bulb from the socket by turning it counterclockwise.
6. Insert the new light bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
7. Reattach the plastic housing by pressing it back into place until it snaps shut.
8. Close the trunk of your CLK.
Here are some additional tips for replacing the license plate bulb on a CLK-Class Mercedes-Benz:
- Be careful not to drop the old light bulb into the trunk.
- If the new light bulb does not work, check to make sure that it is properly inserted into the socket.
- If the license plate light housing is broken or damaged, you may need to replace it before installing a new light bulb.
