Instructions:
1. *Park your car on level ground and ensure it is in "Park" (for an automatic transmission) or first gear (manual transmission).*
2. *Engage the parking brake.*
3. *Jack up the front of the car until the tire you want to work on is off the ground.*
4. *Place a jack stand under the vehicle for safety.*
5. *Remove the front wheel(s) of your car.*
6. *Locate the brake caliper and brake pads on the front side of the wheel hub*
7. *Pry off the dust cover from the caliper using the flat-head screwdriver.*
8. *Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the two bolts holding the caliper in place.*
9. *Gently lift off the brake caliper from the rotor and hang it somewhere out of the way*
10. *Remove the old brake pads from the brake pad bracket.*
11. *Clean the brake pad bracket with brake cleaner and a wire brush.*
12. *Apply a small amount of brake grease to the new brake pad backing plates.*
13. *Install the new brake pads in the brake pad bracket.*
14. *Replace the brake caliper on the rotor and secure it with the two bolts.*
15. *Replace the lug nuts and tighten them securely with a lug wrench.*
16. *Lower your car back down to the ground.*
17. *Test the brakes by applying pressure to the brake pedal and ensuring they work correctly.*
>Tip: Before you start driving, pump the brake pedal a few times to ensure that the brake pads are seated correctly and the brake fluid is evenly distributed.
