1. Park the vehicle in a spacious, level area. Engage the parking brake and turn off the engine.
2. Open the trunk.
3. Locate the two black plastic covers on the top of the trunk, towards the rear of the vehicle. Remove the covers.
4. Behind each of the covers is a plastic lock. Pry out the locks with a flat-head screwdriver and set them aside.
5. Close the trunk.
6. Open the convertible top.
7. Use a T30 Torx bit to remove the two bolts holding the rear convertible top arms to the frame. Set the arms and bolts aside.
8. Use a T30 Torx bit to remove the four bolts holding the convertible top frame to the windshield. Set the bolts aside.
9. Remove the convertible top by lifting it up.
The process to reattach the frame after repairs is the reverse of the disassembly instructions.
