1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position and leave the car running.
2. While the engine is running, close all doors windows, and trunks tightly.
3. Within five seconds of closing all the windows and doors, press the lock button on the driver's side door three times.
4. The horn should sound and the red alarm light in the door should blink to confirm the deactivation of the factory alarm system.
5. Turn the ignition off, and the factory alarm should remain inactive until it is re-activated by pressing the unlock button on the remote or by unlocking the door with the key.
