1. Check the Bulbs:
- Open the trunk/boot of your 190e.
- Locate the reverse light housings, usually near the rear of the trunk/boot on both sides.
- Remove the reverse light housings by turning the bulb sockets counterclockwise and pulling them out.
- Inspect the reverse light bulbs for any damage or blackening. Replace the bulbs if necessary.
2. Check the Fuse:
- Open the fuse box, typically located in the engine compartment.

4. Check for Wiring Issues:
- Inspect the wiring that runs from the reverse light switch to the reverse light housings.
- Make sure the wires are not damaged or frayed. If any wires are damaged, repair or replace them.
5. Test the Reverse Lights:
- Once you have completed the above steps, turn on the ignition and put your car in reverse gear.
- The reverse lights should illuminate if everything is working correctly.
