Method 1: Using the Key Fob
1. Pull the mechanical key out of your key fob. There should be a small button or lever that releases the mechanical key.
2. Insert the mechanical key into the door lock and turn it. This should unlock the driver's door and allow you to open the car.
3. Connect a battery pack or charger to jump-start the car. If the car's battery is completely dead, you won't be able to start it even if you get inside. Try connecting a battery pack or charger to the car's battery terminals to jump-start the engine.
Method 2: Using a Coat Hanger
1. Straighten a wire coat hanger and make a small hook at one end.
2. Insert the hook into the keyhole and press the unlock button while pushing the coat hanger. This may take some practice, but once the hook catches on the internal mechanism, you should be able to open the door.
Method 3: Using a Slim Jim
1. Purchase a slim jim tool from an auto parts store or online.
2. Insert the slim jim into the weatherstripping around the window and slide it down until you feel it reach the lock mechanism.
3. Pry up on the lock mechanism with the slim jim until the door pops open.
Note: If none of these methods work, you may need to call a locksmith to help you get into your car. A locksmith will have the necessary tools and expertise to safely unlock your vehicle.
