Instructions for resetting the immobilizer
Once you have gathered the necessary materials, follow these steps:
1. Connect the diagnostic scanner to the car's OBD-II port.
2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
3. Use the diagnostic scanner to access the immobilizer control unit.
4. Select the "Reset Immobilizer" option.
5. Enter the security code for the car. (refer to owner's manual)
6. Press the "Enter" button.
7. The immobilizer will be reset.
8. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
9. Remove the diagnostic scanner.
10. Insert the blank transponder key into the ignition.
11. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
12. The transponder key will be programmed to the car.
13. Remove the blank transponder key from the ignition.
14. Insert the spare key that is already programmed to the car into the ignition.
15. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
16. The car should start.
If the car does not start, you may need to repeat the process.
