* New gear oil (check your owner's manual for the recommended type and amount)
* Oil drain pan
* Funnel
* Wrench
Instructions:
1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Locate the gear oil drain bolt on the transmission pan. It is usually a 17mm bolt.
4. Place the oil drain pan under the drain bolt.
5. Loosen the drain bolt and allow the old gear to drain completely.
6. Replace the drain bolt and tighten it securely.
7. Locate the gear oil fill plug on the transmission. It is usually a 17mm plug.
8. Remove the fill plug and insert the funnel.
9. Add the new gear oil until it reaches the fill hole.
10. Replace the fill plug and tighten it securely.
11. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
12. Check the gear oil level and add more if necessary.
Additional Tips:
* If you do not have access to a lift or ramps, you can raise your vehicle by placing a chock behind the front wheels and then using a floor jack to lift the front of the vehicle off the ground.
* Be careful not to spill any gear oil. It can be harmful to the environment.
