1. Locate the belts. The belts on a Chevy 350 are located on the front of the engine. There are two belts: the serpentine belt and the power steering belt.
2. Loosen the tensioner. The tensioner is a pulley that is used to tighten the belts. To loosen the tensioner, use a wrench to turn the tensioner bolt counterclockwise.
3. Tighten the belt. Once the tensioner is loose, you can tighten the belt by hand. Pull the belt until it is tight, but not too tight.
4. Tighten the tensioner. Once the belt is tight, tighten the tensioner bolt clockwise until it is snug.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for the other belt.
Here are some additional tips for tightening the belts on a Chevy 350:
- Use a new belt if the old belt is cracked or damaged.
- Make sure that the belts are properly aligned with the pulleys.
- Do not overtighten the belts, as this can damage the engine.
If you are not comfortable tightening the belts on your Chevy 350, you can take it to a mechanic to have it done.
