How do you replace front shock absorber on Mitsubishi Magna 1997 TE?

Tools and materials needed:

- Jack and jack stands

- Wrench set

- Socket set

- Screwdriver

- Pry bar

- New front shock absorbers

- Spring compressors

Instructions:

1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Jack up the front of your vehicle and support it on jack stands.

3. Remove the wheels from the front of your vehicle.

4. Use a pry bar to remove the brake caliper from the rotor.

5. Use a wrench to remove the two nuts that hold the upper strut mount to the strut tower.

6. Use a screwdriver to remove the cotter pin from the lower ball joint.

7. Use a pry bar to separate the lower ball joint from the control arm.

8. Use a wrench to remove the nut that holds the lower strut mount to the control arm.

9. Carefully remove the old shock absorber from the vehicle.

10. Install the new shock absorber into the vehicle.

11. Reattach the lower strut mount to the control arm and tighten the nut.

12. Reconnect the lower ball joint to the control arm and insert the cotter pin.

13. Reattach the brake caliper to the rotor.

14. Replace the wheels and lower the vehicle.

15. Repeat steps 4-14 on the other side of your vehicle.

Tips:

- When removing the brake caliper, be careful not to damage the brake line.

- When separating the lower ball joint from the control arm, be careful not to damage the ball joint boot.

- When installing the new shock absorber, make sure that the upper strut mount is properly seated in the strut tower.

- Tighten all nuts and bolts to the manufacturer's recommended specifications.
