2. Pull the hood release lever to release the hood.
3. If the hood does not open, you may need to use a screwdriver or other pry bar to pry it open. Be careful not to damage the paint on your vehicle.
4. Once the hood is open, you will need to find the broken pulley. It is usually located near the front of the engine, near the serpentine belt.
5. Once you have found the broken pulley, you will need to replace it. This is a job that is best left to a qualified mechanic.
