(Check Battery Current Sensor - Short To Battery Positive)
1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Press and hold the TRIP button on the instrument panel for 5 seconds.
3. The "CHECK ENGINE" light will blink 5 times.
4. Release the TRIP button.
5. The "CHECK ENGINE" light will stay on for 3 seconds, then go off.
6. The ABS and TRC lights may also come on. This is normal.
7. Start the engine.
8. The "CHECK ENGINE" light should now be off.
If the "CHECK ENGINE" light is still on after following these steps, the B2796 code has not been reset. You may need to take your vehicle to a Toyota dealership to have the code reset.
