Option 1: Install rubber seal first

3. Adhesive application (Optional): If the rubber seal doesn't have adhesive pre-applied, you can use a high-quality automotive sealant or adhesive to ensure a proper bond between the seal and the window frame. Apply the adhesive evenly to the window frame where the seal will be placed.
4. Installation of rubber seal: Place the cleaned and (optionally) adhesive-coated rubber seal around the window frame's perimeter. Make sure that the seal is positioned correctly and evenly all around. It may help to use a small tool or your fingers to gently press the seal into place.
5. Install the glass: Once the rubber seal is properly installed, carefully position the window glass onto it. Make sure the glass is centered and sits evenly on the seal.
6. Press the glass into the seal: Use your hands or a small rubber roller to press the glass firmly into the rubber seal. This helps ensure a tight and secure fit.
7. Additional sealant application (Optional): If needed, you can apply a thin bead of sealant around the perimeter of the window to enhance the seal and prevent water leakage.
Option 2: Place the glass first, then squeeze in the rubber seal:
1. Prepare and insert the window glass: Before proceeding, ensure the glass and the window frame are thoroughly cleaned and free from debris. Next, position the glass into the window frame, making sure it's properly centered and fits snugly.
2. Apply adhesive to the window frame lip (Optional): Depending on the design of the window frame, there could be a lip around the inner perimeter. If so, you can apply adhesive to this lip to help secure the rubber seal during the next step.
3. Lubricant application: Apply a thin layer of soapy water or lubricant (e.g., silicone spray or dish soap and water mix) along the rubber seal to ease its insertion.
4. Stretching and positioning: Starting at one corner of the window, carefully position one end of the rubber seal into the window frame. With your hands or a small tool (such as a plastic pry tool), slowly insert the rubber seal into the gap between the glass and the window frame, stretching and pressing the seal in as you go.
5. Work your way around the window: Continue stretching and positioning the rubber seal into the gap all around the window's perimeter. This process may require some patience, and it's important not to apply excessive force. Gradually and carefully work your way around until the seal is fully inserted.
6. Press the seal firmly: Once the seal is positioned, press it firmly into the gap all around to ensure it makes proper contact with both the glass and the frame.
