1. Gather the necessary materials:
- New PVC valve (part number 12204-0H010)
- 10mm socket
- Ratchet
- Extension
- Optional: Pliers
2. Locate the PVC valve:
- The PVC valve is located on the rear of the engine, near the top.
- It is a small, black plastic valve with a hose connected to it.
3. Disconnect the hose from the PVC valve:
- Use a pair of pliers to squeeze the hose clamp and pull the hose off of the valve.
4. Remove the old PCV valve:
- Use a 10mm socket and ratchet to remove the bolt holding the PVC valve in place.
- Pull the old valve out of the engine.
5. Install the new PCV valve:
- Insert the new PCV valve into the engine and push it into place.
- Secure the valve with the bolt that you removed in step 4.
6. Reconnect the hose to the PVC valve:
- Push the hose back onto the valve and secure it with the clamp.
7. Start the engine and check for leaks:
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check the area around the PVC valve for any leaks.
If there are no leaks, the PCV valve has been successfully replaced.
