1. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position and leave it there for 10 minutes.
2. During the 10 minutes, press and hold the "VALET" button, which is usually located under the dashboard or near the steering column.
3. Keep the "VALET" button pressed down until the security light goes off.
4. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
5. The security system is now disabled.
