1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Allow the engine to cool down completely.
3. Locate the orifice tube. It is a small, cylindrical metal tube that is located on the back of the evaporator core.
4. Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the orifice tube. Use a wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the lines in place.
5. Remove the orifice tube from the evaporator core. Use a screwdriver to pry it out of place.
6. Inspect the orifice tube for damage. If it is damaged, replace it with a new one.
7. Install the new orifice tube. Insert it into the evaporator core and hand-tighten the nut.
8. Reconnect the refrigerant lines to the orifice tube. Tighten the nuts until they are snug.
9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
10. Check for leaks. If there are any leaks, tighten the nuts until they stop.
