1. Ensure that the vehicle is stopped and the parking brake is engaged.
2. Locate the locker switch on the dashboard. It is typically labeled "Front Locker" or "Rear Locker."
3. Press and hold the locker switch until you hear a loud clicking noise. This indicates that the locker has been engaged.
To verify that the locker is engaged, look for the following:
* The locker indicator light on the dashboard should be illuminated.
* When the locker is engaged it is much harder to turn the wheels.
* The differential housing will be locked and will rotate as one unit.
To disengage the front or rear locker, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the locker switch until you hear a loud clicking noise. This indicates that the locker has been disengaged.
2. The locker indicator light on the dashboard should turn off.
Notes:
* The front and rear lockers can only be engaged when the vehicle is in four-wheel drive.
* If you attempt to engage the locker while the vehicle is not in four-wheel drive, you will hear a loud grinding noise and the locker will not engage.
* The lockers should only be used when you need extra traction, such as when driving on slippery surfaces. Engaging the lockers will put extra strain on the driveline, so they should not be used unnecessarily.
