1. Remove the door panel.
Using the flat-head screwdriver, pry up the plastic cover on the inside door handle. Remove the two Phillips-head screws underneath.
Use a trim removal tool to pry up the door panel around the edges. Pull the door panel off of the door.
2. Disconnect the door handle linkage.
Locate the door handle linkage, which is a metal rod that connects the inside door handle to the door latch. Disconnect the linkage from the door latch by pulling it out of the clip.
3. Remove the door handle bolts.
There are two bolts that hold the door handle in place. Remove these bolts with the socket set.
4. Remove the old door handle.
Once the bolts are removed, you can pull the old door handle out of the door.
5. Install the new door handle.
Insert the new door handle into the door and align it with the holes for the bolts. Insert the bolts and tighten them with the socket set.
6. Reconnect the door handle linkage.
Reconnect the door handle linkage to the door latch by inserting it into the clip.
7. Reattach the door panel.
Align the door panel with the door and press it into place. Replace the two Phillips-head screws that were removed in step 1. Replace the plastic cover on the inside door handle.
