1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "Off" position.
2. Within five seconds, turn the key to the "On" position, then back to the "Off" position.
3. Repeat step 2 two more times, for a total of three times.
4. On the third time, leave the key in the "On" position.
5. Within 10 seconds, the security light will turn off, indicating that the system has been disengaged.
