Step 1: Park your Van on Level Ground
Park your van on a level surface. Turn off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool down. Engage the parking brake.
Step 2: Raise the Front End of Your Van
Place the floor jack under the front of your Van. Raise the front of the van until the tires are off the ground. Place a jack stand under the front of the vehicle to support the weight.
Step 3: Remove the Front Wheels
Use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels. Remove the lug nuts and then remove the wheels.
Step 4: Install the Camber/Caster Gauge
Mount the camber/caster gauge on the front wheel hub. Make sure that the gauge is securely attached.
Step 5: Measure the Caster Camber
Use the camber/caster gauge to measure the caster camber. Check the gauge to see if the caster and camber are within specifications.
Step 6: Adjust the Caster Camber
If the caster camber is not within specifications, you will need to adjust it. Use the adjustable wrench to turn the adjusting bolts on the front suspension. Turn the bolts clockwise to increase the caster camber and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
Step 7: Re-Measure and Adjust
Re-measure the caster camber after making adjustments. Continue to adjust the caster camber until it is within specifications.
Step 8: Repeat for the Other Side
Repeat the process for the other side of the vehicle.
Step 9: Replace the Wheels
Once you have finished adjusting the caster camber, replace the front wheels. Reinstall the lug nuts and tighten them until they are snug.
Step 10: Lower the Van
Lower the van slowly using the floor jack. Remove the jack stands.
Step 11: Test Drive the Vehicle
Take the vehicle for a test drive. Make sure that the vehicle drives straight and that there is no vibration or instability.
