Method 1: Use the emergency trunk release
1. Locate the emergency trunk release lever. It is usually located in the rear seat, on the passenger side.
2. Pull the lever to release the trunk.
Method 2: Use a slim jim
1. Insert a slim jim into the weather stripping around the trunk lock.
2. Work the slim jim around until it reaches the trunk latch.
3. Press down on the trunk latch to release the trunk.
Method 3: Use a coat hanger
1. Bend a coat hanger into a hook.
2. Insert the hook into the weather stripping around the trunk lock.
3. Work the hook around until it reaches the trunk latch.
4. Press down on the trunk latch to release the trunk.
Method 4: Call a locksmith
If you are unable to open the trunk using any of the above methods, you may need to call a locksmith. A locksmith will be able to open the trunk without damaging your car.
