How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 2007 Chevy Avalanche?

To replace the headlight bulb on a 2007 Chevy Avalanche:

1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake. Turn off the engine and allow the headlights to cool down if they have been on.

2. Open the hood of your vehicle.

3. Locate the headlight assembly that needs to be replaced. The headlights are located on the front of the vehicle, one on each side.

4. Locate the rubber cover on the back of the headlight assembly. Pinch the cover’s sides to release it, and then pull it to remove.

5. Locate the bulb retainer ring. Turn the retainer ring counterclockwise to loosen it, and then remove it.

6. Hold the bulb in one hand and push down slightly on the electrical connector behind it. While pushing downward, gently twist the connector counterclockwise to remove it. This disconnects the bulb from its power source.

7. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out of the housing.

8. If the bulb has a plastic cap on its base, transfer it to the new bulb. If it does not, skip to the next step.

9. Gently insert the new bulb into the housing, turning it slightly until it locks into place.

10. Connect the electrical connector to the new bulb by inserting it and twisting it clockwise.

11. Insert the bulb retainer ring and turn it clockwise to tighten it.

12. Replace the rubber cover on the back of the headlight assembly.

13. Repeat the process if needed on the other side.

14. Close the hood of your vehicle, and you’re done!
