1. Gather the necessary tools and parts.
- Socket set
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Pliers
- Replacement door latch assembly
2. Access the door latch.
- Pry the door panel up using the flat head screwdriver or a panel removal tool.
- Once the panel is removed, the door latch will be exposed.
3. Disconnect the door latch cable.
- Use the pliers to pull the latch cable out of place.
4. Remove the mounting bolts.
- Use the socket set to remove the bolts holding the door latch assembly in place.
5. Replace the door latch assembly.
- Place the new door latch assembly in the same position as the old assembly.
- Insert the mounting bolts and tighten.
- Reconnect the door latch cable.
6. Test the door latch.
- Close the door and test the door latch to make sure it opens and closes correctly.
7. Replace the door panel.
- Replace the door panel and secure it in place.
8. Test the door again.
- Test the door again to make sure it operates correctly.
