Before you even attempt to parallel park, make sure you have a good understanding of how far your car is from the curb and the other cars around you. Use your mirrors to help you judge the distance and make sure you have enough space to park safely.
2. Pull up to the car in front of you slowly and carefully.
Once you've found a spot to park, pull up to the car in front of you slowly and carefully. Be careful not to hit the car in front of you or the curb.
3. Put your car in reverse and turn the wheel all the way to the left.
Once you're about a foot away from the car in front of you, put your car in reverse and turn the wheel all the way to the left. This will help you to angle your car into the parking space.
4. Back up slowly and carefully until your rear bumper is even with the rear bumper of the car in front of you.

5. Turn the wheel all the way to the right and pull forward slowly until your car is parallel to the curb.
