1. Prepare the Vehicle:
- Disconnect the battery.
- Make sure the car is in park and the parking brake is engaged.
2. Disconnect the Electrical Connections:
- Locate the starter, which is usually near the bottom of the engine near the transmission.
- Disconnect the electrical harness connected to the starter.
3. Remove the Mounting Bolts:
- You may need to maneuver the extension bar and socket around engine components to reach the starter’s mounting bolts
- Remove the mounting bolts with a ratchet and socket set.
4. Remove the Starter:
- Once all mounting bolts are loosened, you can pull the starter motor straight out from the engine bay.
5. Reinstall the New Starter:
- Gently slide the new starter into position, making sure to properly align it.
- Insert the mounting bolts and hand-tighten them.
- Tighten the mounting bolts with a ratchet and socket.
- Reattach the electrical harness.
6. Reattach the Battery Cables:
- Reconnect the battery cables
7. Test the Starter:
- Start the car to make sure the starter is working properly.
