Instructions:

1. Disconnect the Negative Battery Cable:

- Locate the negative battery terminal, which is usually marked with a "negative" symbol (-).

- Use the 10mm socket wrench to loosen and remove the nut holding the negative battery terminal cable.

- Pull the negative battery terminal cable off the battery.

2. Remove the Air Intake Tube:

- Use the flat-blade screwdriver to loosen the hose clamps that attach the air intake tube to the throttle body and air filter housing.

- Pull the air intake tube off and set it aside.

3. Disconnect the Coolant Temperature Sensor:

- Locate the coolant temperature sensor on the thermostat housing.

- Use the 13mm socket wrench to loosen and remove the bolt that holds the sensor in place.

- Unplug the electrical connector from the coolant temperature sensor.

4. Drain the Coolant:

- Locate the drain plug on the radiator.

- Place a drain pan under the radiator.

- Use the 19mm socket wrench to loosen and remove the drain plug.

- Allow the coolant to drain completely.

5. Remove the Bolts Holding the Thermostat Housing:

- Use the 15mm socket wrench to loosen and remove the bolts that hold the thermostat housing in place.

6. Separate the Thermostat Housing from the Engine Block:

- Use the pry bar to carefully separate the thermostat housing from the engine block.

- Be careful not to spill any coolant that may be trapped inside.

7. Clean the Thermostat Housing and Cylinder Head:

- Use the wire brush and sandpaper to clean the thermostat housing and cylinder head mating surfaces.

- Remove any old gasket material or debris.

8. Apply RTV Silicone Gasket Maker to the Thermostat Housing:

- Apply a thin, even bead of RTV silicone gasket maker to the thermostat housing mating surface.

- Make sure to get good coverage on all sides.

9. Install the New Thermostat Housing:

- Place the new thermostat housing in position on the cylinder head.

- Hand-tighten the bolts that hold the thermostat housing in place.

10. Tighten the Thermostat Housing Bolts:

- Use the 15mm socket wrench to tighten the thermostat housing bolts in a crisscross pattern to 15 ft-lb (20 Nm) of torque.

11. Reconnect the Coolant Temperature Sensor:

- Plug the electrical connector back into the coolant temperature sensor.

- Use the 13mm socket wrench to tighten the bolt that holds the sensor in place.

12. Reinstall the Air Intake Tube:

- Push the air intake tube back into place.

- Use the flat-blade screwdriver to tighten the hose clamps that attach the air intake tube to the throttle body and air filter housing.

13. Refill the Coolant:

- Replace the drain plug on the radiator.

- Add coolant to the radiator until it reaches the "full" mark on the coolant reservoir.

14. Reconnect the Negative Battery Cable:

- Connect the negative battery terminal cable to the negative battery terminal.

- Use the 10mm socket wrench to tighten the nut that holds the cable in place.

15. Start the Engine and Check for Leaks:

- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

- Check for any leaks around the thermostat housing. If you see any leaks, tighten the bolts until the leak stops.
