Note: This procedure assumes the serpentine belt has already been removed.
1. Locate the water pump pulley. It is located on the front of the engine, near the top.
2. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts. There are three 10mm bolts that hold the pulley in place. Loosen these bolts, but do not remove them completely.
3. Insert a pry bar between the water pump pulley and the engine block. Use the pry bar to apply pressure to the pulley and break it free from its seating.
4. Once the pulley is loose, remove the bolts completely.
5. Pull the water pump pulley off the shaft.
Tip: If the pulley is difficult to remove, you can use a pulley remover tool.
Note: Be careful not to drop the pulley bolts into the engine.
