1. Roll the window up all the way.
2. Remove the two screws located at the bottom of the door panel.
3. Gently pry the door panel away from the door, starting at the bottom. Work your way around the door, removing all the clips and screws that hold the panel in place.
4. Once the door panel is completely removed, locate the window winder mechanism. It is a black plastic piece located on the inside of the door, near the bottom.
5. Remove the two screws that hold the window winder mechanism in place.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the window winder mechanism.
7. Remove the window winder mechanism from the door.
To reinstall the window winder driver's door, reverse these steps.
Here are some additional tips:
- When removing the door panel, be careful not to damage the door panel clips. These clips can easily break if you pry too hard.
- If the window winder mechanism is stuck, you may need to use a pry bar or other tool to carefully pry it out of place.
- When reinstalling the door panel, make sure that all of the clips and screws are properly seated. Otherwise, the door panel may not fit properly or it may rattle when the vehicle is in motion.
