1. Remove the air cleaner cover and air filter.
2. Locate the carburetor adjustment screws. There are two screws: the idle speed screw and the air/fuel mixture screw.
3. Turn the idle speed screw counterclockwise until the engine begins to run rough.
4. Turn the air/fuel mixture screw counterclockwise until the engine begins to run rough.
5. Turn both screws in small increments until the engine idles smoothly.
6. Replace the air filter and air cleaner cover.
Here are some additional tips for adjusting the carburetor:
* Make sure the engine is warm before making any adjustments.
* Only make small adjustments at a time.
* If you are not comfortable making these adjustments, take your FourTrax to a qualified mechanic.
