1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position without starting the engine.
2. Press and hold the odometer reset button, which is usually located on the dashboard instrument cluster.
3. While holding the odometer reset button, turn the ignition key to the "Off" position and then back to the "On" position.
4. Continue holding the odometer reset button for about 10 seconds or until the check engine light turns off.
5. Release the odometer reset button and start the engine. The check engine light should be reset.
If the check engine light does not turn off after following these steps, you may need to have your vehicle diagnosed by a qualified mechanic.
