1. Gather the necessary tools and parts. You will need:
- Pliers
- Screwdriver
- 10mm socket wrench
- 12mm socket wrench
- New wiper linkage (available from most auto parts stores)
2. Park your vehicle in a safe location. Make sure the parking brake is engaged and the engine is turned off.
3. Open the hood of your vehicle. Locate the wiper linkage, which is located in front of the windshield.
4. Disconnect the wiper arms from the wiper linkage. Use the 10mm socket wrench to loosen the bolts that hold the wiper arms in place. Carefully remove the wiper arms and set them aside.
5. Remove the wiper linkage. Use the 12mm socket wrench to loosen the bolts that hold the wiper linkage in place. Carefully remove the wiper linkage and set it aside.
6. Install the new wiper linkage. Place the new wiper linkage in position and secure it with the bolts that you removed in the previous step.
7. Reconnect the wiper arms to the wiper linkage. Attach the wiper arms to the wiper linkage and tighten the bolts until they are snug.
8. Test the wiper system. Turn on the wipers and make sure they are working properly.
