1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold the "Trip" button on the instrument cluster.
3. While holding the "Trip" button, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
4. Continue to hold the "Trip" button for at least 5 seconds after the ignition switch has been turned off.
5. Release the "Trip" button.
6. Turn the ignition switch back to the ON position.
7. The maintenance required light should now be reset.
If the maintenance required light does not reset, you may need to have the vehicle's computer reset by a Toyota dealer.
